The UW Fine Arts Department usually holds a Miniature Show every year, however this year the event may not happen.
Therefore SoFA has decided to have a Mini Show of their own!!
Dates: the show will be on display during the month of November
Location: The Artery Gallery in Kitchener (this will provide great exposure!!)
Opening Reception: TBA
Sale Date/Closing: there will be a closing sale in the last week of the show (exact date TBA)
Notice to Buyers: Purchases are made on a first come first serve basis (coming early gives you more art to buy)!! Also auctions may be available for larger works/guest art pieces; at the end of the night the highest bidder will buy the piece at the highest bid.

It’s that time again, time to switch up the Art displayed at the Williams Coffee shop!!
It’s a great opportunity and only available to University of Waterloo Fine Arts students, so please submit your artwork to Scott Ireland (4th year) or drop it off in the SoFA/Student Lounge.

SoFA Movie Nights are in the Making!
SoFA is thinking of screening movies in ECH at no cost on a monthly basis
(but a beverage/food purchase is required for SoFA support/donations).
Dates and films are up for debate, but a Mythbusters Marathon was requested!
Hopefully expect the first screening early in October and/or late October.
If you have any suggestions for this event (i.e, movies or shows), or would like to volunteer in organizing it, speak up at the next meeting or post here.

SoFA has received a grant to renovate the lounge at the back of ECH. (Yay!)
We’re hoping to make it a much more comfortable eating/meeting area.
If you are interested in helping with purchasing furniture or helping with moving things/anything pertaining to making the lounge a better place, or even any suggestions and requests, contact Brett Brac.
The estimated renovation itself will take place late in the year, perhaps even during Winter Holidays. This gives us enough time to spend our money wisely, so shop around!!
